Justification Letter to Attend IEDC's Annual Conference

I’m writing to request approval to attend the International Economic Development Council’s (IEDC) 2025 Annual Conference from September 14th to 17th in Detroit, Michigan.

2. Networking Opportunities: I’ll be able to connect with economic development professionals from across the country to exchange ideas, build partnerships, and explore collaborative opportunities.

6. Detroit's Economic Development Ecosystem: In addition to the main conference program, there are separate tours that will give me a first-hand look at how Detroit fosters innovative solutions. 

By attending the IEDC 2025 Annual Conference, I will gain cutting-edge knowledge and skills that will enhance my ability to contribute to our organization’s success. The insights and connections made at this conference will not only benefit my professional growth but also provide actionable takeaways that can be implemented to improve our projects and initiatives. 

Registration covers access to all plenary and breakout sessions, the conference app, sponsored networking events, and sponsored lunches. There are also several paid tours and networking events that cost between $30 - $100.
